Discover the Secrets to Living a
Victorious Christian Life
Free Bible Study Lessons with Questions and Answers:
In these 4 Chapters of this Bible Study for Beginners Questions-and-Answers a solid foundation is laid, while also discussing other important aspects, which you need to live a Victorious Christian Life:
-
Within the four abovementioned Chapters you will find the six basic principles mentioned by the author of Hebrews in Hebrews 6:1-2, this is Chapter 6 the verses 1 up to and including verse 2, "Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this we will do if God permits."
-
In our experience during these 50+ years listening to numerous wonderful born-again Christians these 4 areas have caused the majority of hurdles in their lives.
-
Breakthrough starts with having the assurance of your salvation, knowing that God loves you deeply and that your heavenly Father has forgiven all of your sins.
-
Followed by introducing the discipline of daily taking time out to be in the Presence of our Lord Jesus will give you strong roots to persevere.
-
Next, knowing both how to deal with temptations and how to discern the enemy's deceptions and tricks, realizing that your Savior Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth, will make you strong in the Lord.
-
Rest assured, that God's Word has the inner power (ability) to transform your life. In many areas we ourselves cannot change, but God's Word certainly is able and will make it possible, if we are humble and obedient. "Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure" and "being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ". [Philippians 2:12-13; 1:6] Trust God, He is faithful and true.
How should we read and study the Holy Bible, which is God's love letter to us? Here are some simple tips:
-
Choose a specific place.
-
Make sure there are no distractions.
-
Put away your devices and/or other items that could interfere.
-
For your quiet time with our Lord Jesus, don’t use any devotional book, but focus on God’s Word.
-
It is better to read 10 Bible verses than 10,000 sentences without being sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
-
If you have specific questions you may want to write them down and ask the Holy Spirit to grant you the answers.
Where should you start reading the Holy Bible?
One way is to start at the New Testament the Gospel according to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Then, read 1 John 1-5 (that is the first letter of John Chapter 1 up to and including Chapter 5, almost at the end of the Holy Bible) twice, and continue from Acts to Revelation.
Afterwards, when you read through the Old Testament, systematically, read it together with a portion of the New Testament or with The Psalms and/or Proverbs. By adding the New Testament or Psalms/Proverbs, you will have a balanced spiritual diet, which will prevent you from becoming overwhelmed by the laws, old covenant sacrifices and disobedience of the people of Israel.
The Old Testament is a foreshadow of things to come and all point to Christ Jesus. Just as many prophesies already were fulfilled in Christ Jesus, other events that are foretold will also come true soon. Indeed, Jesus makes the difference and really makes all things new.
Which version of the Holy Bible should you choose to study?
There are many good Bible versions, but use those that are translated close to the original text. In this Bible Study we have primarily used the New King James Version (NKJV) of the Bible. The 1599 Geneva Bible (GNV), the Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB), the Complete Jewish Bible (CJB), and the King James Version (KJV) are other good ones. The Amplified Bible (AMP) and the Amplified Bible Classic Edition (AMPC), both add various English word equivalents to some Hebrew and Greek words to clarify and unwrap the meaning.
Although we provide online links below to the Holy Bible, it is best to have your own hard copy Bible in which you can underline or highlight certain Bible verses. You never know, someday the Internet could be down for some time or this option could even be taken away.

Study Resources:
Before reading and studying the Scriptures, ask your heavenly Father to allow Holy Spirit to open your eyes.
Without the help of the Holy Spirit our eyes will not be opened to understand the Scriptures and you will only have head-knowledge.
So, you may want to pray in the Name of Jesus:
-
Welcome heavenly Father God, welcome Lord Jesus Christ and welcome Holy Spirit.
-
Precious heavenly Father, thank You for Your wisdom and for opening the eyes of my understanding to grant me a deeper revelation of Christ Jesus.
[Ephesians 1:17]
-
Thank You for discernment of deceptions and spirits (both good and evil) and above all to discern Your voice and obey You.
[John 10:27]
-
Precious Holy Spirit teach me to pray and understand Your Word.
[John 16:13-15]
-
Please plant Your Word deep into my heart, memory, mind and thoughts.
-
Precious Holy Spirit teach me to pray and understand Your Word. [John 16:13-15]
-
Please plant Your Word deep into my heart, memory, mind and thoughts.
-
Precious Holy Spirit You think, You speak and You act in and through me today.
-
Fill me with Your character so that Lord Jesus be glorified in my life.
